“You are what you eat” takes on a whole new meaning when you make the connection between vegetables we consume and how they benefit the body of the body they resemble.

Consider the carrot and the eye. If you slice a carrot crosswise, you can see that it looks just like an eye. The pattern even resembles the pupil and iris! Carrots benefits the eye because they are loaded with vitamins and antioxidants like beta-carotene that decrease the likelihood of the leading cause of vision loss, macular degeneration. Pretty cool, huh?
